EYE IN THE SKY explores Svalbard's transformation from a coal mining operation to a central geopolitical arena with increasing international presence. The work explores the concepts of sovereignty and peace and the balance of power in the Arctic, and invites dialogue about climate and geopolitics. Together, Otzko and Henningsen combine poetic expression and critical reflection to illuminate contemporary challenges in the North – particularly related to climate, power and presence.
Screening every half hour between 10am - 5pm Friday and Saturday, 10am - 3pm Sunday.
EYE IN THE SKY is supported by The Audio and Visual Fund and the Norwegian Artists' Remuneration Fund. Otzko and Henningsen are also the founders of the collaborative project Arctic Pavilion.
